Adam + Hannah’s wedding day was a ton of fun for us. I was able to drive up to the cities for their engagement session to get to know them before their wedding, and I knew from them on that their wedding was going to be a blast. These two radiate joy, and their wedding was a huge reflection of that! Their love story is a fun one – and their wedding a beautiful one!
Q1: Who made the first move in the relationship?
A1: I have to say this was a group effort. Because we have known each other for so long there were a few “first moves” along the way. I think one of my favorite stories is from the 6th grade; we were at a school event at a game center. Adam somehow had convinced all of his buddies (who ended up as groomsmen in our wedding) that they should give him their game tickets. So they pooled their winnings from the day and Adam purchased a teddy bear in a red dress for me.
Q2: Awkward first date, or awesome first date? Where was the date?
A2: It was a little bit of both! We ended up going to a show at our high school, Our Town, which was not the most upbeat show. Despite the slow start, it ended up being a great night. I remember Adam opening up my car door and when I said, “that is very nice of you,” Adam told me that is what his Dad told him to do!
Q3: Adam, what attributes of Hannah did you fall in love with first?
A3: Her smile and her kind heart.
Q4: Hannah, what qualities of Adam did you fall in love with first?
A4: His ability to get a whole room laughing and his infectious smile.
Q5: When did you know that you could see yourselves spending the rest of your lives together?
Q5: For me (Adam), there wasn’t a definitive moment, but at some point along the way, I realized there was nothing that I wanted more than to marry Hannah. For me (Hannah) it was our freshmen year of college when we would go visit my cousins. Family is important to me, and the way he fit right in and truly wanted to be with my family meant the world to me.
Q6: What has been one of your favorite adventures so far together?
A6: Our honeymoon to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was a great road trip and way to unwind after our wedding and all that went with it. We had a blast in a beautiful part of the country that was new to both of us.
Q7: What is your favorite kind of date night?
A7: Staying in for a dinner and movie night. That way we get to include our pup Annie too.
Q8: What advice do you have to other couples who are engaged/newly married?
A8: Take it all in. We had a long engagement and somehow those last few months of being engaged brought us even closer as a couple.
9: Q9: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
A9: Coming out of the church doors after the wedding to see the faces of our friends and family waiting for us. The excitement in that moment was incredible. Then walking down the stairs to my Dad’s 1969 Jaguar was a moment of a lifetime.
Q10: Describe your wedding day in 3 words.
A10: Laughter – Love – Joy
