We are a husband and wife team who have not only been documenting weddings for 10 years, but will be celebrating 10 years of marriage in August. And we still deeply believe in marriage, the power of commitment, and the beauty of professing your love in front of your closest friends and family.
Our hope is that with timeless wedding photos thatcapture the essence and emotion of your unique love,that you would be able to relive your wedding daytime and time again.
MEET ASH: I was always “that person” who was taking a million pictures. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved being transported into a story from the way the light catches in a photo, or how an honest expression between two people in love can give you a glimpse into their story. Beyond the artistic expression of photography, connecting and creating relationships with our couples and clients is something I deeply appreciate and consider one of the greatest gifts in being trusted to document stories. I don’t think there’s been one wedding that I’ve photographed where I haven’t had tears rolling down cheeks. It’s such an honor to capture intimate and special moments for our couples, and to capture these moments with my best friend fills me with more gratitude than I could have ever hoped.
MEET RY: I started to take my own photos when I was 20. I inherited a 35mm Pentax k1000 from my mother who had it tucked away in a dusty box. I had no idea what I was doing when I first began to use it and actually rolled an entire strip of Fuji 400 backwards. Slowly, I found how to work the ins and outs of that old camera and developed a small love for photography. Then, I fell in love with my wife, Ashley. She is an extremely passionate woman and one thing she is most passionate about is capturing moments, not just taking photos. She introduced me to a whole new aspect of photography, one that had peoples lives as its main focus. In 2013 we started Florapine Photography together. Since its inception I’ve learned that good photography isn’t all about finding to coolest shot I can. It’s about capturing the best moment I can.
MEET US: We met at our church 13 years ago, and I (Ashley) thought he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. (I still think he is.) Through mutual friends and some hilarious Facebook messenger conversations, we fell in love. Beyond photography we love good music, thrifting, hosting our close family and friends, and most importantly time as a family with our son Si and fur baby Opal. We are passionate about Jesus and we could not do life without Him. He is our reason for living!
